Aren't there such things as facts?

Yesterday I'm at the gym and see CNN reporting that Obama's lead is widening.  And then see Fox News announcing that the race is tightening.

Tonight I see a CBS headline reading "Obama up comfortably," while Fox News has, "Race tightens significantly."

Call me an old-fashioned conservative (never got into that French deconstructionist thing too much), but aren't there such things as facts?

BTW, this reminds me that I plan on posting about the way the "conservatives" don't seem to believe anymore that words have meanings.
