North Platte

There are more attractions in North Platte, Nebraska than you realized. Though I suppose you've never even thought about it.
There is the home of Buffalo Bill:
There is Cody Park, where Bill held the first rodeo:
There is the largest rail yard in the world:
There is the site of the North Platte Canteen, which fed millions of servicemen and women during the Second World War:
There is a fun county historical museum with all the typical things of such museums, including old farm equipment:
There is the veterans memorial:
There is a statue of a Sioux which used to stand on a lookout above the Oregon Trail:
